Have you ever tried ceviche? I recently did for the first time and it was delish. So hubby and I said let’s make our own at home. And that’s what we will be making in todays’ recipe.
We bought conchs, octopus and calamari at the local supermarket and I was surprised at how inexpensive it was. Here’s what you’ll need.
Let’s get started. Here is the seafood before steaming it for 10 minutes using a pressure cooker. (regular pot will work, it may take 15 min or more)
While steaming the seafood in just enough water to almost cover it, cut up the tomatoes, onion, pepper and parsley. (As shown below, parsley not cut for presentation)
Then remove the seafood from the stove after 10 minutes so that it won’t over cook and get chewy or hard.
Cut up the seafood in small squares and mix everything in a large bowl.
Add 2 table spoons of olive oil, salt, pepper to taste. Add half of a lime and half of an avocado if desired.
I left the spicy salsa dip (shown below) on a separate dish for those who don’t like it with a kick. Keep in mind any salsa dip will work for this recipe.
And in the end you should have something that looks like this.
I put the bowl in the fridge for about 1 hour and served it cold. But you can have it room temperature as well. All up to your liking. I love that It was yummy and super quick to make. Perfect for those party nights with friends.
Hope you try this delicious recipe & enjoy!
Till next time,
