Today we will be making an easy and delicious appetizer for your next gathering or event. It’s easy and everyone will love it. Auntie Marilyn always makes these when we go over and I wanted to share her recipe with you all.
Here’s what you’ll need:
First season the peeled and divined shrimp, then let it marinate.
While the shrimp marinate, you can do the dipping sauce.
Mix and stir a small bowl of soy sauce, ketchup and hot sauce in one bowl. This is really as preferred, you can add more of one or the other.
Now it’s time to get cracking on the seasoned shrimp. Blend seasoned shrimps until you get a puree like finish. I used a tea-spoon for each wonton wrapper. Make sure you don’t overstuff it as it will make it hard to seal and fry well.

I used 1 packet of the wrappers for 2 lbs of shrimp. This is what your wrapped wonton should look like. These do not have to be perfect so by all means do your best. (I sucked at this before, but the more I do it, the better I get)
Once all shrimp and wrappers are done folding, you want to put a decent amount of oil in a deep-frying pot. Wait till it gets really hot.
Fry for about 2 minutes or until golden. They will be done quicker than you think so be sure to remove them from the oil once golden.
