Expecting and Blessed

Hey lovely Mommies! Today I’d like to share some BIG personal news. Our family of four will soon be a family of five. We’re expecting our third baby this June….and

In honor of the big news I’ve decided to write about how blessed my family is.

When my husband and I decided to start a family, we learned we were pregnant a month later. Sadly I had a miscarriage but I didn’t lose faith in becoming a mommy just yet.  Six months later, we got pregnant with my first born Matt. We were super excited. Three years later and seeing Matt play alone we agreed he needed a sibling to play and grow with. We get to work and boom! Within 3 months we are preggers with our baby Girl Miranda. How lucky are we! We have the set! This last pregnancy was a surprise as I felt 2 was pretty good for our lifestyle. But hubby wasn’t done. He wanted 3 kids. Surprise! Third one is on the way and we all (including Matt) were leaning towards a boy preference. And that’s what God is giving us.

Five months along and I must say— I’ve been very lucky.  No morning sickness with neither of the pregnancies. No vomiting, pain, complications or anything. To add to my level of blessed–I was spoiled since my first pregnancy on the food I wanted to eat and house chores being done for me. Hubby was super helpful. When my belly grew big, he would spend his day off doing house chores so I didn’t have to bend down or do much work.

When Miranda arrived, he would help bathing & feeding Matt while I took care of our newborn in the room quietly. The best part is he did all this without me having to ask. And he still does— I’m truly blessed I tell you!

Sometimes I feel I can’t relate to many wives that have the constant struggle with their spouses helping out or going thru horrible morning sickness while pregnant. After baby #2, we’ve also been able to afford a nanny for me to focus on what I love doing and pursue what I want.

Hubby has not once complained about what I do. In fact he supports me 100% sharing my blog articles and reading some posts to give me his honest opinion. I love that.

Another way I’m blessed is with an awesome mother-in-law. I must say she did a hell of a job raising my husband. (You don’t find many men out there like him) Not only that, she treats me like the daughter she never had and is always supportive of what my husband and I do.

Not that my life is perfect or we don’t encounter difficult days, it’s just when you focus on the positive things, the things that really matter, you’ll quickly find blessings outweigh everything else.

So today I want to encourage everyone reading this to look around and stop taking things for granted. Realize how blessed you are. Focus on the positives in your life. Whether it’s the little ones who make your day when you come home from a long day of work, your parents being alive to see their healthy grand kids run around or simply having that job that allows you to do what you love. There are just so many ways we are blessed!

Thanks for reading and being part of my BIG news!

P.S. – Oh I forgot to mention, this mommy is closing shop after this baby 🙂

  1. YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! CONGRATULATIONS!
“Oh, how my soul praises the Lord.
47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!
48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl,
and from now on all generations will call me blessed.
49 For the Mighty One is holy,
and he has done great things for me.
50 He shows mercy from generation to generation
    to all who fear him.
51 His mighty arm has done tremendous things!
He has scattered the proud and haughty ones.
52 He has brought down princes from their thrones
    and exalted the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
and sent the rich away with empty hands.
54 He has helped his servant Israel
    and remembered to be merciful.
55 For he made this promise to our ancestors,
to Abraham and his children forever.”
    So happy for you! 😉
