Do you love a quick meal that is filling and delicious? Something different from the typical rice? Then this recipe is for you. Whether it’s for lunch or dinner, you’ll love making this easy recipe for the entire family. (If you don’t have any picky eaters like I do)
Here’s what you will need (which you probably already have at home)
- Chicken breast (sliced thinly)
- Bell peppers (2 diff colors)
- Red onion (white if preferred)
- Sour cream
- Hot sauce (optional)
Season and cook the sliced chicken breast on a non stick pan or skillet with a little bit of olive oil until preferred finish. (I usually do 4-5 minutes on each side)
Cut the peppers and onion in thin slices.
When the chicken is almost done cooking put in the peppers and onion to cook for 1 to 2 minutes (you don’t want to over cook it as you want that crunch when you bite into it)
Use a toaster oven or microwave to heat up the pita for less than a minute.
Put all cooked ingredients on pita and top it off with your desired amount of sour cream, fold like a taco and enjoy!
