One thing I love is eating out. Whether it’s a date night or just lunch with a friend. With the different types of restaurants and cuisines, there’s a little bit for everyone.
Today I wanted to share my mother in law’s flavorful Caribbean lo mein recipe which is very tasty.
(Picture shown has chicken breast)
Here is what you will need:
- Sweet peppers (2 or 3 diff colors thinly sliced)
- Carrot (thinly sliced)
- Celery (stem only thinly sliced)
- Sesame oil
- Olive oil
- Soy sauce
- MSG monosodium glutamate
Add 3 -4 tablespoons of olive oil to heat up in a large wok or non-stick pan.
Add garlic and onion and let cook for a minute or two.
Add thinly sliced carrots and celery first.
Let cook for about 6 to 8 minutes stirring often.
Add cabbage, sweet peppers, sesame oil, salt, soy sauce and MSG. Stir to taste.
Add broccoli for a few minutes then add the boiled and strained spaghetti.
Mix in well and if needed add more soy sauce & MSG to taste.
Now you can dig in and enjoy. This dish can be accompanied with chicken breast, shrimp or sausage and it goes perfect. So if alone sounds too dull for you feel free to add some meat.
Hope you enjoy making this awesome recipe courtesy of my beautiful mother in law.
Till next time,
